Postcode Anywhere provides technology for Canada Post’s public facing address search

Canada Post has upgraded its online postal code finder using AddressComplete, the new search-based address service launched with address management experts, Postcode Anywhere.

Providing easy access to Canada Post’s property level Postal Code Address Database (PCAD), citizens in Canada can confirm shipping details by simply entering the full or partial address details in AddressComplete to obtain the properly validated address.

Commenting on the launch, Guy Mucklow, CEO of Postcode Anywhere said: “Canada Post is pioneering new ways of getting value from their data amongst the postal service operators.  They not only understand the value of good quality data both as a potential source of revenues for their business but they also see the operational improvements which are possible from being able to access information in a fast, consistent way.

“We are delighted to be working together with such an internationally important brand as Canada Post and look forward to seeing the relationship flourish.”

AddressComplete expands on the web-based “what’s my postcode?” technology Postcode Anywhere pioneered in 2000 , which made buying online easier at checkout and more reliable in the final mile of delivery. It validates customer addresses in real time — directly in the address fields on your website or application. To account for the dual languages in Canada, AddressComplete enables users to type in any fragment of their address whether in French or English.
