COFPAES, the Council on Federal Procurement of Architectural & Engineering Services, will host its second annual Federal Markets Conference on Thursday, October 11, 2012. The conference is a one-day look at where the work is in the Federal Government.

"The COFPAES Federal Markets Conference is designed to bring together the federal government and the private sector for discussions on programs, budgets and procurement opportunities in the Architect-Engineer (A-E) and related services fields," said John Palatiello, COFPAES Administrator.

Each invited government agency will present information on its current program, the anticipated FY13 budget, the agency's requirements for acquisition of A-E services from the private sector that is on the horizon, and the potential impacts of sequestration.

Industries and markets that will be covered include Water & Transportation Infrastructure, Buildings, Defense and Security, Natural Resources and International.

A full list of participating agencies will be posted on the COFPAES website, www.cofpaes.org, as they become available. On-line registration and further information is also available on the site.

The conference will be held at The American Institute of Architects, 1735 New York Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20006.
