Sharing is Caring

Continental Mapping is excited to announce that it has purchased a Mandli Maverick mobile lidar sensor and integrated Ladybug camera by Point Grey. From limited municipal collections to statewide network mapping, the Maverick is perfectly tailored to support asset management projects of all sizes.

Continental Mapping has always excelled at providing very high accuracy engineering grade mapping for transportation and other corridor based projects, whether by using mobile lidar, aerial lidar, or other mapping techniques. This expansion of services allows Continental Mapping to bring its skills at integrating diverse data types directly to the new breed of mapping projects: those that combine data with wide ranges of sources and accuracies.

Continental Mapping Vice President of Mapping Services Tim Caya pointed out the logic of this service expansion at the announcement to staff at headquarters in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin: “This is not a new step for Continental Mapping. We are scaling our engineering grade mapping expertise to network wide projects, implementing our best practices and approaches with this new technology to provide timely, accurate, and content rich data in an efficient cost effective manner.”

Continental Mapping President Dave Hart added his vision of rapid service, noting that “this expansion of our services allows Continental Mapping to bring both speed and accuracy to our client base. I’m particularly excited about how this new sensor will allow us to very quickly deploy to projects, bringing both collection and processing resources efficiently onsite within 24 hours to anywhere in the lower 48 states. We will be able to deliver complete datasets within 3 days of requests.”
