November 4, 2009 – Cy Smith will provide the luncheon keynote address at the conclusion of the URISA Leadership Academy (ULA) in Seattle this December 7-11. Mr. Smith will talk about the Coalition of Geospatial Organizations (COGO) and the effort to align all of the geospatial organizations around policy issues, with the implication that there is a need for all members of each organization to get involved in setting direction for the organization and the sometimes not so obvious benefits to the individual and their employer of doing so.

The topic is an ideal presentation for the ULA, where attendees will participate in five intensive days concentrating on GIS leadership.
