Data Transfer Solutions (DTS) receives the “2012 Cutting Edge Award”

Orlando Sentinel Recognizes DTS’ for being a forward thinking employer who offers its workers unconventional and unique benefits.

Headquarted in Orlando, Florida, DTS, is a national Asset Management, Transportation Planning/Engineering, GIS, Technology and Application Development Firm and was recently awarded the “2012 Cutting Edge” award and has been recognized as a Top 100 Company for Working Families by the Orlando Sentinel.

The program seeks to highlight the central Florida companies that strive each and every day to maintain a favorable balance for their employees’ lifestyles, through comprehensive and creative benefits, packages and programs. DTS was awarded the “2012 Cutting Edge Award.” The award honors employers that are leaders in recognizing the importance of work/life balance and institute unique or ground-breaking programs that address the needs of employees. Aside from DTS’ comprehensive benefits package (100% of DTS employee and dependent health care is paid for by DTS) and 401k; DTS offers its employees a cutting edge DTS Kids Plan.

The plan is a 529 plan set up for DTS employees’ children to help offset the cost of college and is made available to every child of every employee. The funds stay with these children even after an employee leaves DTS regardless of the circumstances. During the nomination process, the Orlando Sentinel received hundreds of applications and this year. In fact, competition was at a record high, making it even harder for the judges to select just one company to receive the award. “We are honored to be recognized by the Orlando Sentinel as a “Cutting Edge” Company as well as a Top 100 Company for Working Families. At DTS, we're proud of our corporate philosophy to celebrate our employees, their families, and their community endeavors.” said Allen Ibaugh, CEO, Data Transfer Solutions.

The Top 100 Companies for Working Families were formally recognized at an awards luncheon on Friday, August 3 at the Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando, Florida and in the August 5 edition of the Orlando Sentinel.
