Dewberry Promotes Dan Bubser to Senior Associate

-Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced the promotion of Dan Bubser, GISP, to senior associate in the firm’s Tampa, Florida, office.

Bubser, who has more than 16 years of experience, supports the remote sensing, geographic information systems, photogrammetry, and photo interpretation services for local, state, and federal clients across the country. He oversees the production staff and trains others on the use of ArcGIS and BAE Systems’ SOCET SET software for stereo photogrammetry/lidargrammetry, digital orthoimagery, geospatial analysis, auto-correlation, and topographic production creation. Currently, Bubser is managing the production of more than 80,000 square miles of lidar data across the U.S., including the Texas Neches Basin and the Beaver Islands in Michigan.

In addition to managing production for Dewberry’s geospatial group, he has extensive knowledge of photo interpretation and wetland identification, classification, and mapping; benthic habitat mapping; field surveys; environmental mapping; orthophotography; and photogrammetry. Having spent nearly half of his professional career at Dewberry, Bubser has played critical roles in numerous mapping projects, including accuracy assessments and independent quality reviews for the Sacramento Area Council of Governments’ imagery quality assurance contract, oversight for the coastal geospatial services contract with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and photogrammetric mapping and aerial photography services for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in St. Louis, Missouri.

Bubser earned an associate’s degree in geographic information systems from Hocking College and is a member of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
