Contract helps local governments and non-profits nationwide more easily procure professional services

Fairfax, VA—August 19, 2013 Dewberry, a national consulting firm, was recently awarded a three-year contract to provide all hazards preparedness, planning, consulting, and recovery services by the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAC). With over 3,600 HGACBuy End Users, the contract is available to local governments and non-profits providing governmental service nationwide through HGACBuy. HGACBuy has been established for more than 35 years and specializes in capital intensive products and services that require technical, detailed specifications and extensive professional skills to evaluate bid responses. It supports making the governmental procurement process more efficient by establishing competitively priced contracts for goods and services.

HGAC is a regional council of governments operating under the laws of the State of Texas and governed by a board comprised of 35 elected officials from the 13-county region. This contract vehicle was competitively bid and awarded by the HGAC Board. During the evaluation process, Dewberry’s score put the firm in the top 3% of the top contractors selected for the current contract.
