DMTI Spatial Supports Academic Excellence in Geographic Sciences

Markham, ON – June 1, 2009. DMTI Spatial (DMTI), Canada’s leading provider of Location Intelligence solutions, is pleased to announce its continued sponsorship of awards for academic achievement by students graduating from the Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS), Nova Scotia Community College. DMTI has partnered with COGS since the 2000/20001 academic year, to recognise the excellence achieved by its students participating in the Geographic Information Systems for Business Advanced Diploma Program.

The awards were presented Friday May 29th, 2009 at the annual GIS Conference held at COGS in Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia. The 2009 award for Best Analytical Major Research Project in the GIS for Business Advanced Diploma Program was awarded to David Crawford. The 2009 award for the Highest Standing in the Advanced Location Analysis course was awarded to Chris Olive.

COGS helps to prepare future Location Intelligence leaders in the GIS industry by providing the necessary training and skills, and DMTI is delighted to be associated with such a program,” said Kristina Cleary, Vice President of Marketing at DMTI Spatial.
