Envitia is pleased to announce two key appointments to the growing Defence Solutions team.

Andrew Cullington joins Envitia as Geospatial Intelligence Consultant. Andrew will be responsible for providing expertise to customers with respect to Spatial Data Infrastructures, SOA (service oriented architectures), Web Services and specialist GIS technologies. Andrew joins from General Dynamics UK where he was Head of Modelling and Simulation. During his time with General Dynamics UK Andrew led a number of MOD and internal research and development programmes and spear-headed the development of simulation and modelling capabilities used across GDUK. He brings a wealth of experience from the defence domain, primarily in the ISTAR and simulation and training areas.

Mark Richardson joins Envitia as Business Development Manager. Mark will be responsible for the development of the Defence Solutions and Geospatial Research business. Mark has over 10 years experience working in the ISTAR domain of MOD as an operational analyst, and a policy officer. He also led the acquisition of geospatial intelligence software and supporting systems to frontline Forces in Afghanistan. Most recently, he was a political adviser to the Commander and British Deputy Commander for the NATO operation over Libya.
