Eric Andelin Joins SAM, Inc. Geospatial Team

Austin, TX -- February 22, 2013 -- Surveying And Mapping, Inc. (SAM, Inc.), a nationally recognized provider of geospatial data solutions, is pleased to announce that Eric Andelin has joined the firm's Geospatial Business Development Team. Eric is a Certified Photogrammetrist (CP) and certified GIS Professional (GISP) who brings nearly 25 years of experience to the firm.

Eric's background includes professional land surveying, aerial mapping, airborne, mobile, and terrestrial LiDAR, photogrammetry, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He has worked extensively with LiDAR applications as a project manager for high-profile clients such as the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). His career also includes experience with several geospatial and engineering design firms. Most recently he was with Woolpert Inc., in Dallas, Texas, where he had a leadership role in managing their mobile mapping operations.

Eric has a Master of Science in Business Administration, with a focus on GIS and imagery for use in the governmental sector. He is active in the Association of Photogrammetry, Mapping, and Geospatial Firms (MAPPS) as board member since 2009, and is a member of the Association for GIS Professionals (URISA). He is also a member of the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS), where he previously held office as National Director of the Southwest Region.

Eric's extensive industry knowledge and leadership experience make him an ideal addition to our team of leading geospatial professionals. He will have a prominent role in expanding and developing the ever-evolving landscape of LiDAR and geospatial opportunities for SAM, Inc.
