eSpatial releases further functionality in eSpatial OnDemand GIS

Monday, October 10th 2011
eSpatial | Dublin, Ireland

eSpatial, leading provider of GIS (Geographical Information Systems) and pioneer in GIS delivered via Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), has released another upgrade to eSpatial OnDemand GIS™.

A custom demonstration of eSpatial OnDemand GIS may be requested at: http://info.espatial.com/request-a-demo.html

Available for both customers and users of eSpatial’s 14-day free trial, the recently upgraded version of eSpatial OnDemand GIS provides the following enhancements:

  • Use any coordinate system (not just the coordinate system used on the base map):
    • To enter your data.
    • To centre your map on a point.
  • Data linking functionality:
    • Linking existing data, and data the user wants to upload.
    • Linking GIS and non-GIS files.
  • Enhancements to the existing geocoder, providing additional information to help users resolve or ignore each geocode failure.
  • Append new data to an existing layer.
  • Filter layer data based on spatial criteria, so you only see data matching the criteria on the map.

“Our customers have continued to provide useful feedback on how they use our software,” says eSpatial’s Chief Sales & Marketing Officer Colm Mulcahy.

“We are delighted that they are engaging so deeply with eSpatial OnDemand GIS.”

“For our part, we continue to be committed to seeking and responding to customer feedback, as we continue to enhance our software.”
