Esri Places in Top Ten of Forbes 2016 Best Midsize Employers

Sharing is Caring

Esri earned fourth-place ranking in the Forbes 2016 America's Best Midsize Employers list, led only by L.L.Bean, The Container Store, and Novo Nordisk. More than 30,000 employees at companies with at least 1,000 people were surveyed for the list.

Esri technology is used to show people how to use geography and technology—think high-tech maps—to make the world work better. Its customers use the software in tasks as urgent as mapping the spread of diseases or evaluating crime patterns, and as practical as reporting a pothole or identifying the most favorable spot to launch a new business.

"The work we do here at Esri is changing our world," said Chris Nowlin, chief human resources officer, Esri. "We employ some of the brightest minds in the industry and are proud of the work our employees do every day to help ensure our customers’ success. Our casual, team-oriented culture allows our staff to collaborate and share knowledge throughout the company. There is a great deal of satisfaction coming to work every day knowing you are making a difference."

The survey was conducted by digital data collection partners and online statistics provider Statistica. Respondents from thousands of sources—with a mix of gender, age, region, and ethnicity—ensured a holistic look at employers in the US marketplace. Respondents were asked how likely they were to recommend their employer to others as well as how they felt about other companies in their industry.

With a staff of 3,500, Esri is the leading mapping technology company in the world and is headquartered in Redlands, California, with 41 offices around the globe. Esri attracts employees from more than 75 countries, who are drawn to the high-tempo environment of the tech industry.
