Park Ridge, IL -- URISA is honored to welcome Dr. Barry Wellar, MCIP, GISP as the opening keynote speaker for URISA’s 47th Annual Conference in Anaheim, September 29-October 2, 2009. Dr. Wellar will talk about “Core Information Challenges and Opportunities, 2010-2020: Building on Strengths," certain to be not only important but also an entertaining presentation. Michael Byrne, GISP, the State of California’s first-ever Geographic Information Officer (GIO), will share his vision as California’s GIO in the conference closing session.
