UK geospatial software company GGP Systems has appointed Gareth Brawn to the position of Operations Manager. Reporting directly to the Board, Brawn will manage the software development team ensuring GGP Systems remains a leading force in GIS, e-government and gazetteer solutions. Brawn is an experienced project manager who has held senior positions with organisations including The Inspiring Futures Foundation – an organisation that provides career guidance for young people and a leading name in supply chain management.

“Gareth is already proving to be an integral part of our management team,” commented Tim Maxwell, Managing Director and founder of south London based GGP Systems. “His experiences and skills are a welcome addition and will help guide GGP forward as we enter another period of growth and expansion.”

Brawn brings more than twenty years of IT experience to his role with GGP Systems. He has previously worked for a number of organisations in the role of IT Management and has conceived, managed and subsequently sold his own IT support company ‘Our IT Department’. Brawn’s experience and expertise in IT and project management is complemented with inspirational leadership and people management skills and an excellent business acumen.

“I am really excited by the opportunity to work for one of the few privately owned, UK based, independent geospatial software companies that is consistently at the cutting edge of GIS development and gazetteer management solutions,” commented Gareth Brawn, newly appointed Operations Manager at GGP Systems.

GGP Systems is a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Gazetteer Management Software company that recently celebrated twenty years of trading. At the forefront of the development of modern GIS, GGP Systems was an early pioneer of desktop GIS and the National Land and Property Gazetteer, developing award winning geospatial software specifically designed for the local government market. From its inception in this market, GGP Systems has gone on to develop solutions for the Emergency Services - securing a national contract with the Scottish Police Services Authority (SPSA), Fire and Rescue Services, housing and environmental service organisations.
