GIS in the Rockies and Geospatial Conference of the West (GeCo West) Merge into GeCo in the Rockies

Registration Open for September 22-26 Collaborative Conference in Grand Junction 

GIS in the Rockies and Geospatial Conference of the West (GeCo West – formerly SWUG) are joining forces in 2014 to present a single conference – GeCo in the Rockies, to be held September 22-26, 2014 in Grand Junction, Colorado. GeCo in the Rockies will be the premier geospatial technology and information event of 2014, and is expected to attract a large, professional attendance base.

The conference will be held at the Two Rivers Convention Center. OUTSTANDING CONTENT-RICH CONFERENCE GeCo in the Rockies promises to be an exceptional event, including: • Outstanding Sessions and Tracks, including: o In the Weeds – Tech Tips and Tough Concepts Explained o On the Cutting Edge – Innovation in GIS o GIS on the Web o GIS Education o Conservation GIS o Government GIS o Public Safety GIS o Remote Sensing and GIS o Raising the Profile of GIS • Daily Social & Networking Events - Including GeCoX: innovative, focused talks on the fringe of geospatial technology. • Technology Panel - industry innovators and leaders addressing “The Future of GIS”. • Keynote - Chris Sheldrick, founder of what3words, talking about the creation of a universal address system based on words rather than numbers. • Pre-Conference Workshops - Helping attendees stay on top of ever-changing technology. • Post-Conference Tours - Friday (9/26) in & around Grand Junction.
