GeoDecisions Recognized with Oracle Spatial and Graph Excellence Award

 9 June-GeoDecisions, an information technology (IT) company specializing in geospatial and enterprise geographic information system (GIS) solutions, garnered the 2014 Oracle Spatial and Graph Excellence Award in the Partnership category at the Oracle Spatial Summit on May 21, 2014, in Washington, D.C. Douglas Argall, O.C.A., GISP, a senior database architect for GeoDecisions based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, received the award on behalf of the company.

“Our integrated Oracle analytics approach provides customers with systems that deliver timely, quality data needed to efficiently run their operations,” said Brendan J. Wesdock, M.C.P., GISP, president of GeoDecisions.

GeoDecisions positions Oracle technologies in defense, transportation, and commercial sectors through custom application development throughout the United States. Project examples include the military’s IRRIS® application, a Crash Analysis and Reporting System for the Delaware Department of Transportation, and mobile fleet management initiatives for Rand McNally.

With nearly 25 years of industry experience, Argall designs many of the databases that support GeoDecisions’ enterprise class systems. He is also the first graduate from the Pennsylvania State University’s GIS Certificate program and teaches courses in spatial database design at Harrisburg University.
