geographIT | Lancaster, PA, USA

– The County of Bucks, Pennsylvania, has retained geographIT to design and implement a mobile GIS solution to support the data collection workflow and data requirements for on-lot septic and private water well inspection and issuance of permits. Utilizing mobile GIS and GPS to accurately map proposed locations of on-lot septic systems and private water wells will enable Health Department inspectors to analyze the proximity of proposed septic and well systems relative to each other; to nearby surface hydrography and adjacent property boundaries; and assess the soil and slope characteristics of the proposed sites. The project leverages the data assets maintained in the Bucks County’s enterprise GIS database while extending the database to include status tracking and mapping of permits for the Health Department.
