Tuesday, July 19th 2011

New teaming relationship combines deep user community knowledge with cutting edge geospatial technology for integrated package for US Government Users

Geosemble Technologies Inc., announced today the signing of a teaming agreement with the Virginia-based Podmilsak Group to jointly pursue geospatial technology opportunities in government markets. Founded in 2002, The Podmilsak Group (TPG) brings a host of capabilities focused on leveraging geospatial technology for Defense and Homeland Security mission requirements. TPG personnel have extensive experience in mission management and associated technology sourcing, installation and support. As a result, TPG provides its US Government clients access to cutting edge geospatial technology solutions that augment their specific mission requirements, fit with their technology environments and are supported and updated to ensure maximum effectiveness for the organization’s user community.

Geosemble Technologies was founded in 2004 and develops a range of technology focused on integrating information from a variety of sources into a geographic framework that can include maps, aerial and satellite imagery, and location-enabled text. The company’s flagship product, GeoXray™ is a software product that spatially enables unstructured text from the internet and other sources so that viewers can geographically “see” what’s related to a particular area of interest, either in a map view or as a list of textual content. GeoXray™ integrates news, blogs and tweets, and gives users a “triple filter” of sorting by location, by topic and by time so that people can start with a place they care about and learn about things they’re interested in. The output of GeoXray™ can be viewed in its own native viewer or tapped via an API and displayed on a variety of systems.

The Teaming Agreement between Geosemble and TPG establishes the business and operational framework for working together. The goal of the Teaming Agreement is to seamlessly offer the best technology and services package to US Government customers interested in improving situational awareness for specific areas of geographic responsibility.
