IDV Presents Visual Mashups at Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference

Lansing, MI, July 6, 2010

IDV Solutions today announced four speaking engagements at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) to be held July 11-15 in Washington, DC. WPC is an annual event where Microsoft partners from all over the globe gather to interact and learn more about Microsoft products and programs.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for us and we are extremely excited,” explain Scott Caulk, IDV Solutions Product Director. “It’s great to share about the new innovations in our Visual Fusion product line and how they complement Microsoft products like Bing Maps, SharePoint, and SQL Server. We look forward to describing the amazing things our customers have been doing.”

Jim Keenan, Vice President of Government Business Development, will also be presenting a case study on Visual Fusion use. The event schedule is as follows:

  • Monday July 12, 6 pm - Mapping Opportunities in the Cloud with Bing Maps (Cloud Services Track) – Caulk as part of a panel
  • Tuesday July 13, 3:30 pm – A New View of Business Intelligence (Expo Theater) – Caulk
  • Thursday July 14, 1 pm – A New View of Business Intelligence (Business Productivity Theater) – Caulk
  • Thursday July 14, 1 pm – Getting Beyond the Hype and Building Real Social Media Solutions (Public Sector Track) – Keenan

Caulk will primarily be speaking about Visual Fusion, software used to quickly build business intelligence applications that unite disparate data into interactive web-based data visualizations (maps, timelines, and analytics) for superior context, rapid insight, and decisive action. Keenan will be speaking on how Visual Fusion was used by the City of Brampton in Ontario, Canada. They used the product to build a mapping and visualization application that is easy for the public to use and can be updated by city employees who have no GIS (Geospatial Information System) expertise.

Caulk and Keenan will also be available during the conference for meetings with any potential customers or partners who have an interest in the unique value that Visual Fusion provides.
