IDV Solutions (IDV) today announced that it is an official Microsoft launch partner for the upcoming Windows Azure Marketplace. IDV’s Fetch! mobile application will be one of a few select products offered in the Windows Azure Marketplace when it launches later this summer.

Fetch! is a mobile app optimized for Windows Phone 7 for on-the-go access to Microsoft’s SharePoint, PerformancePoint, SQL Server, and other enterprise data sources. Fetch! for Windows Azure Marketplace focuses on rapid retrieval of Windows Azure Marketplace content from data providers such as Zillow, Data.gov, the United Nations, and the World Bank. With Fetch! users can query these and other data sources for specific information, and create mashups of content from multiple sources within the Windows Azure Marketplace.

With the enterprise version of Fetch!, users can also bring all their organizational data sources to the Fetch! universe. This capability gives users on-the-go access to all their important business information wherever they’re at, whenever they need it. Customer information, market research, scorecards and dashboards, enterprise documents, up-to-the-minute business intelligence data, and more are all available from a single point of access on a user’s mobile device wherever the user happens to be—out in the field, on a plane, in a cab, or even at the beach.

“We are so excited to be offering Fetch! through the Windows Azure Marketplace,” explained IDV Solutions CTO Ian Clemens. “The Department of Homeland Security in St. Clair County, Michigan is up and running on Fetch! now, and it’s helping to keep responders from federal, state, local, and even Canadian agencies on the same page. We have other customers coming online soon in the financial and physical security sectors. The Windows Azure Marketplace is a great way to spread the word about Fetch! and to make sure that as many people as possible hear about its great benefits.”

“Quick mobile access to data helps customers in a variety of business types and verticals, and Fetch! from IDV Solutions is a great example of innovation available with our launch of Windows Azure Marketplace” said Doug Hauger, Windows Azure General Manager at Microsoft Corporation. “Fetch! will enable users of Microsoft applications to access data on the go from their Windows Phone 7 devices, streamlining access to information through a single interface and simplifying the user experience.”

The Windows Azure Marketplace will be launching later this summer and complements the existing DataMarket in Windows Azure Marketplace, a source for finding and purchasing data from dozens of providers. More information about Windows Azure Marketplace can be found online at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsazure/marketplace/, and the IDV website has more information on Fetch! at http://idvsolutions.com/Products/Fetch/.
