IDV Solutions, maker of Visual Fusion software, has been named a regional finalist in the OmniCompete Global Security Challenge (GSC), an annual competition for security innovators, and will compete at the GSC Regional Finals in September.

Visual Fusion is software for building applications that consolidate data from disparate sources in an interactive, web-based interface. Security applications built with Visual Fusion can unite camera feeds, building alarms, vehicle GPS feeds, incident reporting systems, and more in a single interactive view to provide situational awareness and actionable intelligence. Visual Fusion unites all of these critical systems in an interactive data visualization, enabling the security workers and responders to interrogate all the relevant information coming from inside and outside their organizations in the context of location and time.

The Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Transportation, and other federal agencies use Visual Fusion to provide a common operating picture, as do security teams at Microsoft and other corporations.

Now in its sixth year, the Global Security Challenge seeks to promote new technologies and innovations within the security sector. More than thirty countries were represented in this year’s competition. Regional competition winners will compete in October’s grand finale event in London, UK.
