Detroit, MI, June 16, 2009 – IDV Solutions today announced the launch of the Visual Fusion Interactive SDK at the National Summit in Detroit, Michigan. The Mission of The National Summit is to convene a cross-sector gathering of business, government, labor, and academic leaders to develop and promote actions to improve America’s competiveness in a global economy. IDV Solutions, through its flagship Visual Fusion product, aims to provide the innovation that America needs to maintain its leadership role in world markets.

Visual Fusion is enterprise software used to rapidly create visual mashups from disparate data sources internal and external to the organization, all in the friendly environs of Microsoft’s SharePoint. These mashups are primarily interactive data visualizations promoting greater business intelligence, location intelligence, and situational awareness. The Visual Fusion Interactive SDK is a set of examples and architecture references housed in a Silverlight interface that empowers developers to quickly extend Visual Fusion to meet precise business needs. The interactive nature of the SDK means that developers can see the reference code and the result of the reference code in a browser. Among the things developers can learn how to do with the SDK are building custom tools and controls, listening for and responding to events, controlling communication between SharePoint Web Parts, and implementing advanced configuration capabilities.

"The Visual Fusion Interactive SDK is a great benefit to our partners and customers, and fosters tremendous innovation opportunities, " explained Scott Caulk, Director of Product Management for IDV Solutions. "With the recent 4.0 release of the product, everyone can now extend our Silverlight user interface to meet unique business requirements and craft compelling mission critical applications faster than ever before. We have created a powerful set of tools with this release, and we are excited to see what the combination of constantly changing business requirements and designer/developer imaginations will produce in the months to come."

The SDK is publicly available for review at http://www.idvsolutions.com/Documentation/SDKs/VFX4SDK.
