Companies Now Offer Customizable Support for Rapid Warehousing Solution for Faster Enterprise BI Deployments

Information Builders, an independent leader in business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced the availability of Professional Services support for the recently launched end-to-end data warehousing solution it developed with Teradata Corporation. The offering combines Information Builders' BI software with Teradata's analytical appliance to help companies build data warehouses more efficiently and obtain better and faster ROI. With the addition of Professional Services support, the companies are providing pre-defined services to help organizations easily execute solutions from test drives to enterprise deployments.

Information Builders' Professional Services is designed to help companies build custom-tailored decision-support systems and get maximum value out of their technology investments. With Professional Services support for this new solution, part of the Teradata Accelerate program, the companies are providing a rapid, modular solution for building enterprise-wide BI deployments.

Information Builders will offer pre-defined services, including design and development of queries, reports, and dashboards; data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL); data mapping services; system integration testing; user acceptance testing; and production operational mentoring. The company will also offer structured Solution Assessments for ROI studies, BI strategy roadmaps, and Data Governance Assessments, which provide detailed roadmaps for profiling, cleansing, and governing enterprise information.

"Clean, concise, and easy access to information is key to the successful deployment of any BI strategy," said Gerald Cohen, president and CEO of Information Builders. "Our Professional Services offerings serve as the building blocks of bringing this success to all levels of the organization by providing users with the tools they need to deploy BI across the enterprise. By applying the modular approach to our jointly developed solution with Teradata, customers can better customize the solution to their individual business needs and get maximum value from our combined offering."

"This joint Teradata and Information Builders solution gives companies the benefits of data integration, analytical appliances, and BI," said Ed White, general manager, Teradata appliances. "With the addition of Information Builders' Professional Services support, we're enabling our joint clients to bring meaningful departmental and enterprise deployments of our solution to their users quickly, and in the location and manner in which they need it."
