Information Builders, a leader in business intelligence (BI) and analyticsinformation integrity, and integration solutions, today announced that InfoBuild Brazil, its full representative in the country, is growing rapidly with the addition of several key customers, new leadership, and an innovative reseller network.

Headquartered in São Paulo City, in the past year InfoBuild Brazil has signed significant new accounts, including a customer-facing BI and geographic information systems (GIS) integration project with Vale (BOV:VALE3), the world’s second largest mining company, and IBOPE, a market research organization that selected Information Builders over two of the major competitors. InfoBuild Brazil also expanded its relationship with existing customers such as Vivo (BOV:VIVO4), the country’s second largest telecommunications company, which upgraded its WebFOCUS environment to support higher availability with the goal of scaling to more than 2,000 users. The company also worked with Dataprev, Brazil’s social services infrastructure provider, to augment its existing BI environment to support an additional 10,000 users. In addition, InfoBuild Brazil launched a new reseller network in the country, the first of which is K2 IT Solutions, focusing on the federal government sector.

Luiz Camara, chief executive officer of InfoBuild Brazil, largely spearheaded this growth. As he continues to expand the company’s presence in the region, Camara will look to the government, financial services, telecommunications, and retail sectors to help companies in these areas use BI to make better sense of their data, and adapt to industry challenges. In particular, Camara is seeing an increased interest among current and potential customers in big data, customer-facing BI, and mobile capabilities. Information Builders is well suited to address these areas with solutions that accelerate the time to value of big data analytics, customizable charts and dashboards, and native mobile BI apps that work on any mobile platform.

“The business intelligence market in Brazil is thriving, and this is an exciting time to be a part of this burgeoning industry,” said Camara. “I look forward to continuing our successes with our current customers and helping more organizations improve decision-making and be more successful by having a better understanding of their enterprise data.”

“The significant growth that InfoBuild Brazil is experiencing is just the latest in Information Builders’ ongoing efforts to help companies worldwide unlock the value of their information,” said Gerald Cohen, president and CEO of Information Builders. “I congratulate Luiz and his team on their success to date and look forward to continuing our work together to introduce new Brazilian companies to the valuable insights advanced BI tools offer.”
