LiDAR Services LLC Mobilizes LiDAR System to Midwest USA for Major Electric Utility Thermal Rating
October 13, 2015 – Las Vegas, Nevada - LiDAR Services, LLC, Las Vegas, Nevada, the wholly owned US subsidiary of LiDAR Services International, Calgary, Alberta, is mobilizing to commence work on a contract for an aerial LiDAR survey of existing transmission lines for thermal rating, NERC compliance and vegetation management for a large electrical utility. LiDAR Services teamed with a specialized utility engineering company for this contract award for a Midwest USA based electrical utility. LiDAR Services will perform the airborne and ground survey services and will utilize a Bell 206B3 helicopter platform for data collection. The project involves LiDAR and digital imagery collection on over 780 miles of 69 to 345 kV existing transmission lines.
