Now with support for Geospatial PDFs and a 30-day free trial

— LizardTech®, a provider of software solutions for managing and distributing geospatial content, today released version 8 of Express Server® software for high-performance delivery and publication. This latest version comes equipped with a brand new graphical user interface (GUI), support for Geospatial PDF’s and a free, 30-day trial.

With a new graphical user interface (GUI) called the Express Server Manager, customers now can easily and quickly configure their Express Server software and their image catalogs from anywhere on the Web without having to open a command line or edit XML files. Now they can set Express Server’s properties, configure catalogs, and create catalog groups all in the new GUI, just by logging in with a browser, checking a few boxes, filling in a few fields, and clicking a button or two. The new Express Server Manager is all about ease of use and saving time.

Also new with this release is support for Geospatial PDF as a source image format, which means customers can take advantage of PDF data and serve a wider range of users.

Finally, users can now try Express Server before they buy it. The free 30-day trial is available here: http://www.lizardtech.com/downloads/category/#free_trials. Once downloaded and installed, the same copy becomes permanently licensed if a decision is made to purchase Express Server.

“Express Server is the fastest, most stable, and easiest way to distribute compressed, high-resolution raster imagery via standard protocols,” said Jon Skiffington, director of product management. “And now anyone can take it for a test drive before they buy it with a 30-day free trial that we are offering.”

LizardTech will be exhibiting at the 2012 GEOINT Symposium October 9 – 11, 2012 in Orlando, Fla., in booth #420, where demonstrations of the product will be available. More information about Express Server 8 can be obtained here: http://www.lizardtech.com/products/exp/
