Mapmaker AND and Infochimps join forces to offer location, places and mapping

Rotterdam, 21 March 2011 – Mapmaker AND and Infochimps have joined forces to offer the market a location, places and mapping database. Infochimps will offer the AND Maps of the USA through their API for the purpose of geocoding. The geocoded places can be displayed on a map, used for check-in services, directions, etc.

Infochimps provides an infrastructure for people to buy and sell large datasets. Infochimps believes that large datasets are essential and by combining data more questions can be answered. Through AND Maps Infochimps now allows developers to make their apps and solutions more location aware.
