Fetch!, a mobile application from IDV Solutions, is the subject of a new case study that describes how the software uses cloud capabilities to link mobile users with their enterprise data.

IDV Solutions is a data visualization software company that helps organizations discover opportunity, identify risk, and take action. The case study by Microsoft describes how IDV Solutions developed the Fetch! application, and how it leverages Microsoft’s Windows Azure platform to provide mobile users with access to information such as data grids and text, charts and graphs, documents, images, scorecards, and maps.

Customers can use Fetch! on Windows Phone 7, iPhone, Android, or other devices. The app lets them request data from Microsoft’s SharePoint, PerformancePoint, and SQL Server, and from other enterprise data sources such as Oracle, or cloud-based services like Salesforce.com. Answers returned by Fetch! can be a mix of data from any and all connected data sources.

Fetch! complements IDV Solutions’ flagship product, Visual Fusion data visualization software, and is a key component of the company’s Visual Command Center risk visualization and response product.

“Being able to access your key business data across the Web, from your mobile device, is a must-have today,” said explained Ian Clemens, CTO of IDV Solutions.  "With Fetch!, you can connect to your enterprise information securely, whenever you need it, wherever you are."

The case study is available on the Microsoft website.
