New GIS mapping integrated with GPS fleet tracking for oil & gas applications, capabilities

Wednesday, October 19th 2011

NexTraq Fleet Tracking platform has been brought out for oil and gas operations through a Web Services offering.

As an open platform, it enables integration of fleet data with third-party applications so oil and gas users can align their geographic information system mapping technology with the platform. With it, fleet managers can protect and leverage assets remotely with real-time data and reporting. Now you can track trucks and assets from hundreds of miles away to increase driver safety with optimized fleet operations, it’s noted.

Oil and gas fleet managers can upload and view points-of-interest in relation to trucks. This includes such up-front investments as pump jacks, wellheads, depots, and tank yards. It lets managers interoperate fleeting technology with GIS maps and overlay GIS data. Additional platform details are yours free.
