NexTraq Fleet Tracking Increases Productivity for the HVAC and Plumbing Industry

Atlanta, GA – June 6, 2012 – NexTraq, the value leader of GPS fleet tracking and vehicle management solutions, announces today that the NexTraq™ Fleet Tracking platform and its reporting functionality has proven to help improve all areas of its HVAC and plumbing customers’ fleet operations while reducing overhead costs such as fuel, maintenance, payroll and insurance.

Integrating NexTraq’s reporting functionality into fleet operations allows HVAC and plumbing businesses to measure every aspect of their fleet operations, helping identify areas of operation that need improvement.

“In today’s economy, businesses are searching for ways to alleviate spending, especially in terms of their overhead costs,” said Mike Scarbrough, CEO of NexTraq. “NexTraq’s reporting functionality helps HVAC and plumbing businesses pinpoint inefficiencies that are increasing costs and affecting performance. Businesses with budgetary restraints can utilize these reports to reduce operational costs and increase revenue, positively impacting business processes and fleet management practices.”

With the NexTraq Fleet Tracking platform, HVAC and plumbing managers have the ability to generate reports such as the Start/Stop Report and Begin/End Day Report to help reduce overhead costs and increase productivity. NexTraq customers have already seen increased productivity as well as a reduction in operational costs.

Paul Giglio, President and Owner of Pipe Works Services, said, “Because the drivers know their behavior and workday profiles are being monitored, we have increased overall fleet productivity by 35% while reducing fuel costs by 20%.”

Charles Shockley, President of Absolute Comfort Technologies, also shared positive results. “The very first day we were up and running, we could immediately identify a problem with one of our drivers. We now had solid data to back up his behavior and have a discussion about his performance.”

In addition to increased productivity, Absolute Comfort Technologies was also able to automate its payroll process, gaining more accurate labor costs. Shockley adds, “We have a better handle on our payroll hours by using the Start/Stop Report as a weekly time card and the Begin/End Day Summary Report.”
