Optech announces its 7th International Terrestrial Laser Scanning User Meeting

Toronto, Canada, February 11, 2014 — Optech, the world leader in the development, manufacture and support of high-accuracy lidar 3D survey systems and productivity-enhancing workflow software, is pleased to announce that it will be holding its 7th International Terrestrial Laser Scanning User Meeting on June 12-13, 2014, in Rome, Italy.

Optech clients and expert users of static and mobile land-based scanning technologies will share their experiences and suggestions for best-practice implementation in an increasingly dynamic market. Presentation topics will include monitoring natural hazards and man-made structures, techniques for efficiently mapping large natural and urban landscapes, modeling inaccessible features, and analyzing lidar data sets.

“With ever-increasing data and imagery collection data rates, users are constantly seeking effective processing and data handling methods. Automated solutions aimed at improving collection methods and streamlining post-processing workflows will be presented here,” says Dario Conforti, Optech Worldwide Channel Partner Manager, Terrestrial Laser Scanner Products.
