Optech to attend DistribuTECH conference in San Antonio

Toronto, Canada, January 22, 2014 — Optech, the world leader in the development, manufacture and support of advanced lidar and camera 3D survey systems, is pleased to announce its participation as an exhibitor at the DistribuTECH 2014 Conference and Exhibition being held this year in San Antonio, Texas, on January 28-30.

DistribuTECH is the utility industry’s leading annual transmission and distribution event, and Optech will be showcasing the Lynx Mobile Mapper™ as a fast and extremely safe way to collect 3D detail of power distribution infrastructure. This vehicle-mounted lidar and integrated 360° camera system leverages automated workflows with advanced algorithms to efficiently deliver engineering-grade data with the highest accuracies commercially available. It's ideal for safely modeling infrastructure and vegetation encroachment in 3D while minimizing “boots on the ground” for distribution network management.

Optech’s airborne lidar and integrated camera systems, optimized for transmission network mapping and 3D modeling, will also be on display. These flexible and easy-to-install sensors boost efficiency, and their automated processing workflows provide consistently accurate results while maximizing productivity with minimal training.

Finally, the Optech ILRIS Terrestrial Laser Scanner is well known for capturing extreme detail for complex infrastructure with high accuracy and from safe ranges. Visitors will learn about its new remote control, enhanced workflow efficiency and automated monitoring capabilities.
