Developers of Next Gen Mapping and Analytics Apps Will Get an Exciting Crash Course in the Future of Real-Time Location Strategy Technology

March 7, 2017—Esri, the global leader in spatial analytics, today announced that PubNub CEO Todd Greene will deliver the Keynote Address at the 2017 Esri Developer Summit (DevSummit) on March 8 at the Palm Springs Convention Center. Esri DevSummit is the premier event for developers interested in building next-generation apps with advanced mapping and analysis.

Esri has released a Geocoding block on the PubNub Data Stream Network (DSN) that allows developers to tap into the power of Esri's Geocoding service and it apply it to real-time data.  With just a few lines of code that will execute within the PubNub Data Stream network, developers can now find locations of addresses; points of interest (POIs); administrative places such as cities, counties, states, and provinces; and postal codes without the need to deploy and scale additional infrastructure.

Greene will kick off two days of workshops by discussing how users are driving the demand for real-time applications and the challenges developers will need to overcome to meet the demands. Participants will learn what it takes to deploy solutions quickly to gain a competitive advantage and grow market share.

Attendees also enjoy exclusive, direct access to Esri staff to discover the latest trends in desktop and web development, apps, and software development kits, including the following:

  • ArcGIS Enterprise—How to deploy capabilities through new server roles in the next evolution of the ArcGIS for Server product line
  • ArcGIS Online for Developers—How to add spatial analysis to apps using Esri's cloud services, how to develop any application program interface (API), and how to deploy on any device
  • ArcGIS Runtime—How to leverage ArcGIS with this powerful, modern, and scalable API

Greene brings more than two decades of leadership experience at software companies—from enterprise and infrastructure to consumer software. He is currently the CEO of PubNub, a secure, global Data Stream Network and easy-to-use API that enables its customers to connect, scale, and manage real-time applications for mobile, the web, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Previously, Greene held senior leadership roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, NetDynamics/Sun Microsystems, CascadeWorks, and Loyalize.

Esri DevSummit will be held at the Palm Springs Convention Center from March 7 through 10, 2017. For more information, including a full agenda for Esri DevSummit, visit esri.com/devsummit.
