St. Charles, IL – The Sidwell Company is pleased to announce that Mark Dupree, Director of GIS Sales, has accepted an appointment to serve as the International Association of Assessing Officer’s delegate to the Coalition of Geospatial Organizations (COGO). In his role as delegate, Dupree will be will be working closely with the IAAO Board and COGO to help advance a variety of geospatial issues that would benefit the ability of IAAO’s members to better serve the public. Mark has almost 27 years experience in the geospatial data industry, helping to educate users in automated parcel and land records management and adopt new technology. He has also led dozens of educational sessions and workshops at regional and national conferences focused on assessment and land records management and GIS technology. He is an IAAO-certified Master Instructor, possesses the designation of Cadastral Mapping Specialist (CMS) from IAAO and the designation of GIS Professional (GISP) from the GIS Certification Institute, and has previously served as both the co-chair and chair of IAAO’s Mapping/GIS Section.

The IAAO was one of eleven organizations that served is Founding Members of COGO, which was developed to provide a forum for groups concerned with national geospatial issues. Their focus is on initiatives that will improve communications among the member organizations and geospatial community, to provide relevant education to their respective members, to align and strengthen their policy agendas, and to facilitate development of strategies to address national geospatial issues.
