Southampton, UK. 26 June 2012: Snowflake Software is proud to announce today at the INSPIRE Conference 2012 a strategic technology alliance with Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) specialist Epsilon Italia. The new Technology partnership not only compliments both companies’ strengths in geospatial data and information management but also reinforces their commitment to enabling European organisations to achieve compliance with the EU INSPIRE Directive.

Through the application of geographic information standards, Epsilon Italia specialises in the design, build and update of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), development of WEBGIS applications and development of INSPIRE compliant SDIs. Epsilon Italia joins Snowflake’s Technology Alliance programme at a time when European authorities must meet crucial deadlines for the INSPIRE adoption milestones as defined in the European INSPIRE Directive.

"Joining the Technology Alliance Programme with Snowflake Software is highly strategic for us”, said Giacomo Martirano, Technical Manager of Epsilon Italia. “Implementing INSPIRE and, in general, making large amounts of digital data from different sources interoperable is extremely easy with the Snowflake Software products and services and therefore this partnership represents a big competitive advantage in our marketplace”.

Ian Painter, Managing Director of Snowflake Software added, “Welcoming Epsilon Italia onto our Technology Alliance Programme reinforces our continued commitment at Snowflake to support System Integrators who want to build innovative products and services with our technology. We look forward to working with the team at Epsilon Italia and to forging a strong relationship”.
