Gary Leak, PLS and Brian Socia, PLS Join the Firm as Survey Operations Manager, Senior Project Manager  

-- Surveying And Mapping, Inc. (SAM, Inc.), one of the fastest-growing geospatial firms in the U.S., is continuing its growth trajectory with the establishment of a new office in Denver, Colorado. With the new Denver office SAM, Inc. continues its expansion of services to clients across North America. The firm is pleased to announce that Gary Leak, PLS has joined as Survey Operations Manager for the Denver office. Through his 30-year career, Gary has successfully led survey departments serving federal and state agencies, oil and gas pipelines, electric utilities, counties and municipalities, and commercial and industrial developers. As a licensed Colorado surveyor he has directly managed large right-of-way projects through urban, rural and mountain corridors, right-of-way mapping and acquisition projects for pipelines and electric transmission lines, and urban redevelopment projects.

Also joining the firm in Denver is Brian Socia, PLS as Senior Project Manager. Licensed in Colorado and Nebraska, Brian has a strong background in managing land surveying activities, staffing, project management, and client support. His experience includes Public Land Survey System retracements and breakdowns, right-of-way retracements, GPS control surveys, ALTA/ACSM surveys, construction staking, topographic/design surveys, boundary surveys, and the preparation of easement documents, land survey plats, subdivision plats, annexation maps, and state highway right-of-way plans.
