Taipei City Dept. of Transportation Adopts SuperWebGIS for Real-time Traffic Information

This year, the collaborated company, TMS Technologies, developed an App for iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile phones, increasing the user convenience for Taipei cizitens.

Authorized by Taipei City Department of Transportation, the Taipei City ATIS Web is the website developed by TMS Technologies, who adopts SuperWebGIS as the map server software to provide citizens with real-time traffic information in great Taipei, Taiwan.

SuperWebGIS is the map server software able to publish dynamic maps and GIS data to the Internet. The key features include the highly scalable framework, complete support for geodatabases, and comprehensive GIS objects and various website templates. Therefore, SuperWebGIS can meet the demands for publishing and displaying the spatial data to efficiently achieve the goal of data sharing.

Taipei City ATIS Web, built with SuperWebGIS, offers numerous types of real-time traffic information, including real-time road information, dynamic bus information system, timely available parking lot information, etc.

Newly, an App supporting iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile platforms for smart phone users is developed for the public’s convenience.

In order to provide real-time traffic information that may be required by the citizens during the journey, the App, ‘Easy Travel in Taipei’, developed this year supports iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile platforms. Users with the mobile devices supporting the above OS can query timely traffic information in Taipei city anytime.
