Telvent Selected by Entegrus to Provide Integrated Smart Grid Data Services
Ontario-based electrical company to be first to implement Telvent Meter Data Management solution

– Telvent GIT, S.A., a leading real-time IT solutions and information provider for a sustainable world, announced today that Entegrus Powerlines has selected Telvent’s Conductor - Meter Data Management™ (MDM) solution to serve as the central repository for all operational data in the company’s electrical distribution network. This is the inaugural production implementation of Telvent’s Conductor MDM system.

Conductor MDM provides Entegrus with a robust data storage, management and analysis solution to compliment its advanced metering infrastructure (AMI). It will help strengthen the company’s smart grid operations by improving key business processes such as meter data validation, estimation and editing, providing the most accurate information to support better billing and reporting practices, as well as a shorter meter-to-cash cycle.

Entegrus Powerlines President Dan Charron states, “Telvent has been a trusted partner for several years and we are excited to expand our relationship by integrating the Conductor solution into our existing Telvent suite. This project is strategic to our on-going smart grid initiatives to provide more intelligent service to our customers.”

Conductor MDM offers full integration with all other smart grid systems, providing a seamless, single-platform smart grid suite to the customer. This capability will allow Entegrus to take the most advantage of its AMI data in order to achieve efficiencies and provide better service across its various business operations, including outage management, loss prevention and peak load response.

According to Telvent's Chairman and CEO, Ignacio Gonzalez, “We are pleased to continue a long and productive relationship with Entegrus by supporting its developing smart grid initiatives. Our technologies are continuing to drive industry innovation and promote the development of smarter and more efficient energy delivery throughout the world.”
