TracPlus and IDV Solutions today announced that the companies have formed a technical partnership to integrate the TracPlus™ global GPS tracking and message system and IDV Solutions’ Visual Command Center® enterprise risk visualization (ERV) software
The combination of the two technologies enables security operations teams to identify potential threats to their GPS-equipped mobile workers and assets and act to protect them.

Visual Command Center provides security operations teams with a single, integrated picture of their asset locations and events that may threaten those assets, such as acts of terrorism, severe weather, civil unrest, and hazardous materials releases. It consolidates this risk information with data from other sources, including an organization’s internal systems, on an interactive map and timeline. When Visual Command Center detects a potential threat near an asset or employee location, it automatically alerts operators, who can use powerful visualization, filtering, and query tools to assess the threat, and then act to mitigate risk.

TracPlus delivers seamless, reliable, and secure real-time global tracking for private, business, military, and government organizations by integrating the many leading hardware and software tracking systems in use around the world. The TracPlus system communicates GPS-based position data via cellular and satellite networks to track land, sea-, and air-borne assets.

The TracPlus tracking app for iPhone can also be carried by individuals when travelling or in the field. When a user activates a distress button in TracPlus, Visual Command Center automatically generates an on-screen alert and sends an email to key personnel.

“The partnership with TracPlus will deliver exceptional value and benefits to our mutual customers,” said Mark Morrison, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, IDV Solutions. “Combining TracPlus’ tracking and distress monitoring with Visual Command Center’s comprehensive visualization and alerting will enable organizations to deploy mobile assets more effectively, improve employee safety, and fulfill their duty of care towards employees traveling or working in the field.”
