-UbiSeis is a cloud-based application for storage, retrieval, transfer, viewing, sharing, and collaboration with seismic data.  The cloud-based internet service eliminates the traditional problems inherent with the large files and huge volumes of data that make up the seismic assets of a company while managing the flow of seismic data between oil companies, service providers and partners.

UbiSeis utilizes state-of-the-art security and policy features designed to meet the needs of the security-conscious oil industry. These security features include secure login and full encryption of the seismic data. UbiSeis runs in Microsoft’s Windows Azure cloud infrastructure, which is a global constellation of mega-datacenters.

“UbiSeis is a break-through solution for oil companies to more efficiently manage their seismic inventories and their relationships with their seismic service companies,” said Peter Flanagan, President of Ubiterra.  “We look forward to helping the oil industry take advantage of the new, powerful cloud technologies to reduce risk and cost, and speed time to data and collaboration.”

In addition, Ubiterra and Spatial Energy have entered into a long term strategic global partnership to develop, market and distribute this exciting new offering to the global oil and gas industry.

“UbiSeis and seismic data management are an ideal complement to our imagery offerings and existing customer base. We’re experienced in managing large volumes of data in a secure cloud-based system.  Our customers rely on us for global solutions that move data quickly and easily into the applications on their mobile or desktop environment, and that will grow with them as they continue to expand their use of cloud infrastructure. Ubiseis fits this model very well,” said Bud Pope, President, Spatial Energy.

UbiSeis is being offered as a Software as Service (“SAAS”) subscription with one-, two- or three-year service agreements, based on the number of seats and the amount of data stored and downloaded.
