Veteran-led Team Rubicon Assists with Louisiana Tornado Recovery
Feb. 15, 2017 – Volunteers from the veteran-led, global disaster response organization Team Rubicondeployed to New Orleans, Feb. 10 and will continue to serve residents affected by tornadoes until Friday, March, 3.
On Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2016, Team Rubicon deployed a reconnaissance team of veterans and first responders to conduct damage assessments and prepare for the arrival of additional volunteer members to the disaster zone. Team Rubicon is currently conducting chainsaw and muck out operations, debris removal services, and volunteer management, prioritizing the needs of affected homeowners based on level of assessed damage and proximity to the team’s geographic location.
