WheelNav helping people with disabilities via OpenStreetMap

Sharing is Caring

When you’re in a wheelchair, it can be hard finding accessible places to go. As part of an app challenge, Telenav used OpenStreetMap (OSM) and WheelMap to build an app that can actually improve the lives of people with disabilities, called WheelNav.

Users of the (free) app can review further information about these places and have the possibility to change the accessibility of the place, if they consider that the current accessibility attached to the place is wrong. This feature improves the quality of the accessibility data giving back to the community.

Learn more about the app on the company’s blog here: http://sdkblog.skobbler.com/wheelnav-app-more-than-a-navigation-app/.
