The Program Will Offer Marketers a Variety of Courses, From Beginner to Advanced Levels, Designed to Deepen Understanding of Mobile-Location in the Advertising Industry

April 30, 2014 - xAd, the only global mobile-location ad platform, today announced that it has launched Location University, a program aimed at deepening marketers’ understanding of the fast-evolving mobile-location space. The courses, developed by xAd’s seasoned ad industry experts and trusted partners, will be offered online at a variety of levels through the company’s website.

xAd’s Location University courses will empower marketers with a greater understanding of the technology and insights behind accurate mobile-location advertising as well as new topics and innovations in the space. The courses will also arm marketers with essential knowledge, strategies and advanced insights necessary to create impactful mobile-location campaigns.

As the effectiveness of location-based mobile advertising continues to gain awareness, the space is expected to see significant growth in the coming years. BIA/Kelsey predicts that the mobile-location market will surge to $5.8 billion by 2016, accounting for 44% of total mobile ad revenue. As the only global mobile-location platform serving more than 1.5 million advertisers, xAd is committed to arming marketers with the tools they need to remain relevant and successful in the growing space.

“We’re proud to launch xAd Location University, the first comprehensive educational program for marketers and agencies looking to leverage mobile-location technology,” said Monica Ho, SVP of Marketing at xAd. “We hope to help spread understanding of just how critical accurate location data is in building any mobile advertising campaign and achieving industry-leading ROI.”

In addition to launching Location University, xAd’s executives are active board members of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), an organization that works to educate the mobile marketing industry worldwide. Last year, xAd was named the ‘Global Enabling Technology Company of the Year’ at the MMA Global Smarties Gala. Voted by peers, the award was presented to xAd for exhibiting unprecedented leadership within the mobile marketing industry to help its growth and best practices.
