Yotta DCL brings new Horizons to America

Yotta DCL is launching Horizons, its innovative visualised asset management system, to at the Transport Research Board 92nd Annual General Meeting (January 13-17 2013, Washington, DC). The event is at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel Exhibit Hall and attendees are invited to visit Yotta DCL at Booth 3207 to learn more about the company’s highway surveying services and cutting-edge web-based technology.

Nick Smee, Managing Director of Yotta DCL, said: “Since we launched Horizons in the UK we have been delighted by the response from highways market sector. Sales have dramatically increased over the last 12 months, especially in the last six-months and show no signs of abating. We know that this is a solution that would suit the USA too and this event gives delegates a great opportunity to find out how they can benefit from Horizons to greatly improve their highways asset management.”

With Horizons, Yotta DCL has revolutionised highways software products to provide an intuitive solution that brings data alive for the user. Instead of using disparate applications, Horizons brings together GIS, pavement and asset management into a single unified user-friendly hosted system. This combined functionality allows users to manage multiple sets of data, make cost predictions, plan and model various road maintenance scenarios, build schemes and ultimately, make better, more informed decisions.

Developed with input from leading the UK’s highways authorities, Horizons has a powerful analysis module that enables users to project and analyse highways defect treatments based on multiple strategies. This gives an instant view of what is achievable for a given budget and helps guide decision makers to select the optimal solution for their road network. Users can also analyse data over multiple years to produce accurate projections for deterioration rates over time.

In addition, Simon Topp, Business Development Director, will be presenting at the event. His presentation “Pavement Performance Measures: A European Perspective” promises to be an enlightening talk that will help delegates learn more about what the company and its customers are achieving in the UK. Simon Topp joined Yotta DCL in 2007 and spent his first year pioneering the new asset inventory survey methodology within the highways industry. He has worked with many Local Authorities in the UK over the last three years helping develop their asset management and maintenance strategies.
