Olympic Sports – where are likely places the next Olympians live?

Read More About: esri, geodemographics, olympics 2012

Pam Allison wrote a blog post (one of two - another is yet to come) that uses Esri's geodemographic segmentation system (Tapestry) to predict the likelihood of ZIP Codes producing olympians in a variety of sports based on the popularity of the sport. My own ZIP Code (80487 - Steamboat Springs, CO) has "produced more Olympic competitiors per capita than anywhere else in the world" according to Walk of Olympians. Allison is a consultant to Esri.
