Scott Fierro is a consultant to ODOT, serving as the CADD/GIS administrator. He has a B.S. in GIS and has obtained his GISP certification. Scott has been involved with several projects at ODOT, most notably the URISA ESIG award-winning TIMS project, and worked to architect the environments for supporting GIS project needs, administering the ArcGIS servers, assisting with ETL development and python scripting, and acted as a subject matter expert on ESRI and GIS-related topics.
Prior to ODOT, Scott was a geospatial engineer for the U.S. Army for nearly 9 years. While there, he assisted with establishing the initial ArcGIS server functionalities for the Army’s use. His initial work and a paper on the generation one implementation led to his involvement on the development and future evolution of the GIS environments capabilities and enterprise level integration options as part of the Digital Common Ground Station-Army program.
