Jeff McKenna is highly regarded internationally for his promotion of open source geospatial software. Jeff was named as the President of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) in 2012, and has been actively contributing to the foundation since its formation in 2006. Jeff is also one of the founders of the annual international conference Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G), which has been held in areas all around the world since 2004.
