November GeoInnovation National Speaker Series to Focus on Advancing Geospatial Technology Through Startup Innovation
Partnering with STL Startup Week to highlight four geospatial startups in live panel discussion
ST. LOUIS – For its November edition, the GeoInnovation National Speaker Series is partnering with STL Startup Week for a panel discussion with four St. Louis-based geospatial startups. The panel, titled “Advancing Geospatial Technology Through Startup Innovation,” will examine the startups’ technology, their targeted customer base, and why they chose St. Louis as the place to grow their companies.
Panelists will include:
- Edward Ge, Co-Founder of Stratodyne, which uses use surveillance blimps to cover large areas for up to 21 days without landing.
- Brad Martin, Co-Founder and CEO of Another Reality Studio, which uses augmented and virtual reality to create custom solutions for a wide range of applications.
- Daniel Kuster, Founder and CEO of Cambrio, an R&D lab focused on practical applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning technology.
- Michael Naber, Founder and CEO of Simerse, which creates synthetic data for artificial intelligence and computer vision model training.
Tara Mott, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Account Manager for Esri and Co-Chair of the USGIF St. Louis Area Working Group, will moderate the panel discussion.
“The construction of the Next NGA West headquarters and the support from business, civic, governmental, academic, and community partners has catalyzed St. Louis’ geospatial startup ecosystem,” said Andy Dearing, Project Lead for the GeoFutures Initiative. “This discussion will shine a light not only on some of our outstanding startup companies and entrepreneurs, but also the ecosystem in St. Louis that is helping them thrive.”
