John "JB" Byrd Named A Top 100 Lobbyist For 2021

Fairfax, Virginia – Miller/Wenhold Capitol Strategies is excited to announce John “JB” Byrd has been named one of Washington’s top 100 lobbyists for 2021 by the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics (NILE). 

Byrd is Senior Vice President for Miller/Wenhold and overseas its policy team, where he specializes in transportation, infrastructure, and geospatial issues for clients.

“JB is an amazing professional, and this honor is so deserved”, stated Paul Miller, partner with Miller/Wenhold. “What most people do not know, there are over 14,000 registered federal lobbyists in Washington and more than double that working in every state capital across the country. For JB to be recognized by his peers in this way is a testament not only to the work he puts in, but the success he achieves for our clients,” added Miller.

Among the geospatial issues he has successfully lobbied in Congress on behalf of U.S. GEO in the past year has been the Digital Coast Act, National Landslide Preparedness Act, funding for the USGS 3DEP program, protections from GPS signal interference by the proposed Legado deployment, broadband mapping, and the new infrastructure bill, among many others.
