Bentley Colleagues Will Discuss Digital Twins, Construction Management, and Recent Acquisitions of INRO, Seequent, and sensemetrics

What:

Bentley Systems, Incorporated (Nasdaq: BSY), the infrastructure engineering software company, will be at the 2020 Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting in Washington D.C. This event will include featured presentations and a chance to meet with Bentley Systems transportation executives for one-on-one interviews. Bentley’s comprehensive solution for the transportation industry encompasses all phases of an asset’s lifecycle from planning, to design, construction, and into operations and maintenance. Through the presentations, attendees will learn how three recent acquisitions extend Bentley’s transportation solution and leverage digital twins to create the visibility and insights for data-driven decisions that make infrastructure sustainable and resilient.

When:

January 10th 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Acquisition of Mobility Simulation Leader INRO Extends Mobility Digital Twins for Dynamic Multimodal Simulation

INRO’s products include Emme, a multimodal transportation planning system for urban, regional, and national transportation forecasting; Dynameq, a vehicle-based traffic simulation platform for city-wide traffic planning; and CityPhi, a mobility visualization solution providing data visualization and visual analytics of large-scale mobility and geospatial datasets. Users of its multimodal simulation offerings include some of the world’s busiest transit systems and metros in the world. Combining the capabilities of INRO’s advanced traffic and vehicle simulation with Bentley’s passenger and pedestrian simulation and civil design software—including CUBE, LEGION, and OpenRoads—allows Bentley to deliver comprehensive mobility digital twins of multimodal transportation systems at urban, metropolitan, regional, and national scale.

Bentley’s Acquisition of Seequent Advances Environmental Resilience by “Deepening” Infrastructure Digital Twins

Seequent’s products include Leapfrog, its leading product for 3D geological modeling and visualization, Geosoft for 3D earth modeling and geoscience data management, and GeoStudio for geotechnical slope stability and deformation modeling. Bentley’s current offerings enable digital twins to incorporate what’s constructed “near surface,” including foundations, drainage facilities, buried utilities, tunnels, and subsea structures. The addition of Seequent will now make it possible for infrastructure digital twins to reach full subsurface depths, augmenting environmental resilience against flood, seismic, climate, and water security threats. The integration of Bentley’s and Seequent’s solutions, for deeper infrastructure digital twins, can contribute a multiplied “ESG handprint” to improve the world’s environment while also improving the world’s economies.

Acquisition of sensemetrics Software for Sensor Management Accelerates the “Infrastructure IoT” Opportunity for Living Digital Twins

The sensemetrics platform is used extensively for real-time safety and risk monitoring in infrastructure, mining, and construction activities, including to measure and visualize civil structural movement, for condition assessment, and to help detect and prevent damage. sensemetrics’ Sensor Integration Builder uniquely enables asset owners, engineers, and risk managers to choose their own sensors—with assurance that they can be seamlessly integrated into digital twin solutions within a matter of minutes. sensemetrics’ Thread and Strand connectivity devices can optionally accelerate “plug and play” deployments for wireless sensor devices, even for “off-grid” infrastructure locations.
